Veteran Program Directors beef up cluster�s social networking

Chicago, IL � (September 15, 2009) � Tony Coles, Operations Manager of Clear Channel Radio Chicago, announced today the appointment of Derrick Brown and Rick Vaughn as the cluster�s new Directors of Social Media, effective immediately.

Brown will oversee social networking for V103, WLIT (93.9 Lite FM), and Inspiration 1390 in addition to his duties as V103�s Program Director. Vaughn will head up social networking for 103.5 KISS-FM, 107.5 WGCI-FM and Mega 95.5, and continue to serve as Program Director of 103.5 KISS-FM.

�Derrick and Rick have built amazing on-air and online brands at WVAZ-FM (V103) and WKSC-FM (103.5 KISS-FM), and I am thrilled that we will be able to tap into their talents,� said Coles. �The continued growth of online communities dictate that we create various outlets for our listeners and advertisers to connect with our stations,� said Coles.

As Directors of Social Media, Brown and Vaughn will be responsible for using new media and social networking to extend station brands across online communities, including Facebook, YouTube and Twitter, among others.

Brown, originally from Joliet, Illinois (southwest suburb of Chicago), is the former Assistant Program Director and Midday Host at WLIT-FM in Chicago, IL. He also served as Program Director at WKYS-FM in Washington, D.C., KDJM-FM in Denver, Colorado, and WHQT-FM in Miami, Florida.

Vaughn previously served as Program Director of Clear Channel�s WIOQ-FM (Philadelphia, PA) and WKSS-FM (Hartford, CT).
