Isabella Snchez, chairwoman of the Association of Hispanic Advertising Agencies (AHAA) PPM Council, tells R&R that AHAA learned of and backed a proposal by the Spanish Broadcasters Association to Arbitron requesting it release both diary and PPM ratings until the issues related to PPM's Hispanic sampling are resolved.
"We think its OK since Nielsen has done that for years for TV and we are used to it," says Snchez, who serves as VP/managing director of Tapestry.
Snchez says the proposal was rejected by Arbitron because, according to Arbitron, providing both diary and PPM numbers is not a viable option and having two currencies in the market doesn't make sense.
